The Blaine County Sheriff's Office vehicle structure is to be followed at all times, regardless of any exceptions. You may be authorized by department command staff or heads to drive vehicles beyond your rank for periods of time. If this privilege is found to be abused, there will be punitive action. This must be documented via a ticket in the main SADRP Discord.
Deputies are required to use the following license plate format, consisting of "BCSO" followed by your callsign: BCSO⬞B⬞⬞ (3B-21 = BCSO3B21)
Any rank of BCSO deputy may optionally use a ram bar/push bar. If you choose not to equip a ram bar, you may not directly perform a PIT maneuver. However, at lower speeds, you may conduct a tactical collision to box in a vehicle and prevent it from escaping.
A supervisor may approve a PIT timer without a ram bar if the following conditions are met:
There are no other vehicles attached to the pursuit with a ram bar or otherwise pursuit intervention device.
The suspect is posing an immediate and continuous threat to the public (law enforcement excluded).
It is apparent that the suspect will continue to be a threat to the public if the pursuit were to be terminated.
A pit timer has been approved and has expired.
Deputies at or below the rank of Corporal are required to have a lightbar and may not have any visor lighting. At the rank of Sergeant, you are may patrol without a lightbar, but you are required to have visor lighting.
No normal patrol vehicles may have any form of window tint. Ghosted vehicles may have up to "dark smoke" window tint, and unmarked vehicles can have tint as dark as they want.
Deputies are allowed to use all performance-enhancing modifications on their patrol vehicles.
Any member who is Corporal+ and a trusted civilian may to open a BCSO inquiry and request to use the script on any patrol vehicle.
This change must be realistic, and the individual must be able to articulate why this change is appropriate for the vehicle.
Approval will be discussed by the department command staff and approved/denied by the Sheriff.
Your permission to use the script may be revoked at any time for any reason, without warning, by the Sheriff.
Department heads may submit a request to the Sheriff to utilize the script with their personal vehicle(s) for unmarked operations/patrol.
Vice/ATTF may utilize this feature for their division operations, but authorization may be removed from said divisions if it is found to be abused.
The BCSO Sheriff reserves the right to remove access of ANY vehicle for any reason without warning.
