3-Man Ride-Alongs may be authorized by a department Command Staff member. You may not transport a suspect while in a 3-man ride-along, and you may not exceed 3 people participating in the ride-along.
Cadets may ride with any trained non-probationary deputy. They may not drive the patrol vehicle, utilize any standard-issue equipment (firearms, taser, bulletproof best, etc). A cadet must be searched before going on the ride-along and is treated as if they were a civilian.
Must be approved by an on-duty department supervisor.
Civilians wanting to do a ride-along must sign a department waiver that states that the department is not liable for any injury, disability, death, dismemberment, or loss of personal property as a result of events that occur during the ride-along.
Don't take any risks that may put civilians' lives in danger; if you can avoid it, then do so.
The civilian must go through a background check. If the civilian is a felon, they may not go on a ride-along with the deputy. They must also be searched by a deputy before the start of the ride-along. They can not be armed with any type of weapon during this ride-along.
The civilian must wear a bulletproof vest. Note: This must be a Civilian Ride-Along Vest.
If the civilian is a part of any media crew, they may not show any footage before it's cleared with the command team of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office. This is mentioned within the waiver.
Must be with a BCSO Supervisor.

Don't say things that could be harmful to the department or individual if shown throughout social media.
Confirm the ID and contact the news organization to confirm the member is legitimately hired by the company. They must also be searched by a deputy before they start the ride-along.
The press must wear a bulletproof vest. Note: This must be the Press Ride-Along Vest
Any footage received must be cleared by the command team of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office. - This is mentioned within the waiver.
