What is a subdivision?

A subdivision is a segment of the department that specializes in one particular aspect. These divisions can specialize in many things, such as high-speed interception units, investigative tactics, crisis response, off-road terrain navigation, etc. These divisions allow members of the department to gain specialized knowledge in order to help them in a variety of situations and improve their effectiveness in serving the public.
