The purpose of this document is to outline all information and operating procedures of the Deputy & Supervisor of the Month program. This is to ensure there is no bias, and all basic knowledge is outlined, providing a fair competition for the award.
To recognize and reward exemplary performance of the duties among the deputies and supervisors of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, fostering a culture of excellence, dedication, and professionalism.
The Supervisor Overwatch Lead & Advisor as well as participating Command Staff members convene monthly to determine who will be the supervisor & deputy of the month.
Members of BCSO who meet the following criteria are permitted to be voted upon for Deputy of the Month.
Rank of Probationary Deputy to Corporal.
Met the minimum activity requirement of 2 hours for the month.
Received no strikes or fewer than 2 warnings.
Did not receive Deputy of the Month in the month prior.
Members of BCSO who meet the following criteria are permitted to be voted upon for Supervisor of the Month.
Rank of Sergeant or Master Sergeant
Met the minimum activity requirement of 7 hours for the month.
Received no strikes or written warnings.
Did not receive Supervisor of the Month in the month prior.
Upon meeting the requirements, the Deputy/Supervisor of the Month committee will vote on all individuals based on the following points.
Exceptional Performance in the Line of Duty
Patrol Activity
Positive representation of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office (Includes praises)
Acts of valor or service
Activity within their roles and responsibilities. Including but not limited to the assistance of probationary deputies, FTA/FTO activity/participation, and within subdivisions.
The deputy & supervisor of the month will be announced via the BCSO Announcement Channel.
In addition to a fancy role within the department Discord, the Deputy & Supervisor of the Month will recieve the following benefits:
You may wear any marked BCSO EUP found within the Uniform Structure whilst looking professional. Subdivision-specific apparel is excluded. In place of "marked" pants, you may wear any business casual legwear. This includes black or navy jeans. Rank-locked customizations are exempt.
You may utilize any marked BCSO vehicle within the Vehicle Structure with the exception of the 2024 Mustang and the 2019 Raptor. Rank-locked privileges such as slick-top and ghosted liveries are still prohibited. Subdivision vehicles are also exempt.
You may utilize the .38 Special revolver from the /weapons menu in place of your regular service pistol.
