The Uniform Structure is to be followed by everyone in the Blaine County Sheriff's Office. The Uniform Structure should be followed at all times; otherwise, departmental punishment may occur.
Vest policies are listed on the Uniform/Vehicle Structure. All marked vests worn by patrol units must be black. Deputies at the rank of Master Sergeant have a small selection of tan vests they may use.
Masks and face covering may only be used when dealing with high profile cases or high risk situations to hide the identities of the deputies on scene in case someone in relation to the individuals they are dealing with may wish to harm the deputy or their family.
During high-risk situations or priorities you may utilize any BCSO ballistic helmet.
Should you have any issue/suggestion in regard to the uniform structure, please refer to BCSO command staff.
As a BCSO Deputy, you are permitted to have tattoos. You may not have any gang-affiliated or face tattoos. All tattoos must be below the neck.
Department command staff may enforce a "Class of the Day" that requires all BCSO deputies to utilize a certain uniform class throughout the day.
The BCSO Sheriff reserves the right to enforce a strict class uniform on those who fail to comply with the Uniform Structure.
