Proactively reach out to Cadets offering training sessions or refreshers.
Host refresher courses for probationary deputies and above.
Deliver subdivision training sessions for Deputies+.
Focus primarily on classroom and scenario-based instruction.
Each Cadet training session consists of:
1. Classroom Portion – Introduction to academy policies, systems, and core procedures.
Department Panel & CAD usage
Radio procedures & 10-codes
Handling common call types (10-11s, 10-70s, 10-80s, etc.)
Use of Force & de-escalation strategies
Basic medical procedures
2. Practical Portion (In-game) – Applied scenarios to test classroom knowledge.
Vehicle pursuits, foot pursuits, Arrests, Server Scripts, and medical response.
Additional scenarios upon Cadet request.
Focus on reviewing critical areas or specific sections of the training guide.
Conducted as classroom sessions, emphasizing do’s and don’ts.
Designed to reinforce confidence and correct mistakes.
Will be hosted upon request of Deputies+
FTAs guide probationary deputies during their most critical stage of development.
Proactively reach out to probationary deputies to offer ride-alongs.
Provide guidance in both formal training and casual on-duty interaction.
Answer questions and explain SOPs, procedures, and field tactics.
Conduct evaluation ride-alongs (if Senior Deputy+).
Complete a minimum of 2 ride-alongs per month.
FTAs are encouraged to focus on encouragement, constructive feedback, and building confidence. Negative or discouraging feedback should always be avoided.
